what to get next

So i have decided to get the blood angles half of the dark vengeance box. Which from what i have read is about 750pts. What are some cheap options to bring that to a 1500pt army

Those guys are Dark Angels. Buy what interests you. If you like troopers, get those. If vehicles are your thing, get those. Play a few games with what you've got and see what works. My overall recommendation is to dump those human pansies and go Ork.

So how do i convert regular SM stuff to dark angle stuff?

A little history of the 40K universe will help. Try looking around at http://wh40k.lexicanum.com. The Dark Angels are one of several chapters of space marines. They currently do not have a current codex (rule book) but a new one is expected in the next month or so. Typically, with Games Workshop, when a new rule book comes out, that will be the most powerful army in the game for a while, and with Dark Angels being the poster children for 6th edition, I wouldn't be surprised if they stay strong for a long, long time.

Well if you wait another month or two the new Dark Angels codex will be coming out soon. It'll be hard back this time. So don't waste your money on a codex now since their getting an update in a little bit. There is the chapter upgrade for dark angels from the games workshop website. Comes with kits to make your marines look more dark angel-ey.
