Dark Eldar and Craftworld Eldar are probably some of the fluffiest armies in the game in my opinion. They once held the galaxy in the palm of their hands before the Fall and they are solely responsible for the creation of Slaanesh. The eldar are flung all over, but some of them are determined to kill Slaanesh and take back the empire, while others are just trying to survive. The dark kin meanwhile are out there still decadent as ever with their cities in the webway and they loot and plunder life and wealth from the alien races around them. There are a few groups in the middle like the corsairs and the harlequins, some seek adventure and the others re-unification and salvation from the Dark One.

As far as the units, I sent you a description of some decent ones, but as far as how the army plays. Generally by first turn you will know whether its going to be a dramatic victory or a abysmal failure. There's not a lot of room for mistakes as it will cost you big and there's not a lot of recovery tools ie. commands, atsknf, 2+ armor, or fearless units. You will have to outmaneuver your opponents by weighting the board sides, redeploying to trick them, or using speed to switch flanks. That initial alpha strike is going to be a huge factor in your success and the army has a couple of units that help that happen. You will laugh as terminators tangle with your incubi, scoff when your archon confronts an HQ twice his points, and cringe when your opponent drops a mechanized list. But it is an incredibly fun army to play and although 6th nerfed much of its assault ability, there are a good source of playable units that gives you a constantly changing playstyle.

Try out a kabal list and use warriors under the service of your archon, the coven of the alchemist haemonculi and their twisted abominations, the wych fighter cults who are devastating in melee if they can get there, or fight the system and come in with a gang of hellions on skyboards. There's a little bit of everything in Dark Eldar, and luckily enough we got to be battle brothers with their craftworld cousins who have a fair amount of useful units and who will be getting an update soon!

Honestly, its worth playing the army for the fluff alone. The story of the Fall, and the factions that struggle to survive in a galaxy dominated by the rotting corpse of the Imperium is just awesome. Also, you don't have to play genocidal space marines. At least the dark eldar admit what they are, and apparently they can redeem themselves and save themselves from Slaanesh ... if you believe all the fluff. Edit: Strangely enough, in the horror universe of 40k, remarkably there is hope for the Eldar and Dark Kin, either through Eldrad the fated, or through the mysterious Harlequins. Strangely enough, a new harlequin unit is coming out soon.

Yeah all of eldar call slaanesh "She who thirsts" and dark eldar will freak out at the site of slaanesh daemons. Actually read that in the Word bearers book about the freak out thing when dark apostle marduk let slaanesh speak through him and then belched a gas that daemonettes of slaanesh appeared from. Plus also in the dark eldar codex it says they don't let psykers in commoragh period no questions because of them being gateways for daemons/she who thirsts.
