Hey everyone. Carl encouraged me to post something here.

My name is Jake, I live in Picayune, and I am the organizer for the meetup group Hub City Tabletop, which is a group for gamers in Southern Mississippi. We are primarily Hattiesburg-based, but we have members in Columbia, Tylertown, Picayune, Baxterville, and other places!

The group's purpose is to facilitate meetups for gamers to play and talk about tabletop games, including (but not limited to) Warmachine, Pathfinder, Dungeons and Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, other RPG's, other CCG's, tabletop minatures games, and board games.

We are on facebook and meetup, can't post links due to me being a new member. I primarily play tabletop board games, but I am open to just about any tabletop rpg, minatures game, or board game. I primarily play:

Warhammer (High Elves)
Warhammer 40k (Orks, but I have no army right now.)
Warmachine (Khador, for now)
Full Thrust (just getting started)
Legend of the 5 Rings CCG (Dragon)
as well as a bunch of tabletop RPGs (D&D, Star Wars Edge of the Empire, Gamma World).

I work at Stennis Space Center for the Navy. My wife and I moved to Picayune from Columbia back in November of last year. I have been posting the events Anthony has shared on Facebook with our meetup group.

Anyhow it's great to meet you all.

Jake

Hey Jake ........

Welcome aboard !!!! I guess by the pic you can gather that I'm the old man around here...... Great to have you with us. Even better that you play Warhammer!!!! Maybe we can strike up a group around that game. If we can get a few games going maybe we can save Grott's Warhammer army from his attics summer heat .... It would be a shame to have all those bones dry up and wither away..... Lately the forum players have been expanding the games we play.... It used to be 40k and more 40K but while that game is still strong you can see strong inroads into WarMachines and others.... We have a few Warhammer armies around .... Empire, Tomb Kings, Wood Evles, and Lizardmen.......... High Elves would be a great addition ...... It would be great to get WFB going again ........ Hey on the 27th, during the open play day, Justin Morris and I will be teaching and running a demo of the game FOG ( Field of Glory) It is a table top miniature game of historic ancient armies. Right now we are looking to pit the Roman Legions against the Samurai of 650AD. Come out and take a look.... If you like WFB you will love FOG. Fog is really supported by the designers and publishing company. The game has world-wide support. Come out and take a look .....

Oh BTW I retired from Stennis three years ago. Turns out I know many Navy, and other agency folks around the site... When we get together we should have a lot to talk about .....

Again Welcome to our group.... looking forward to many games ...
