Do Blood Angels use drop pods?

Well, I'm going to build my own Blood Angels sub-chapter. I haven't come up with a final name for them yet, but I do have the chapter organization that I want to make. I have about 85% of this list now and just need to pick up a few more things.

An awful lot of this army is old Rogue Trader era stuff. All the tactical marines are the 'beaky' type, terminators are old, old lead ones or AoBR ones, one Land Raider is the old 'Proteus' style, as are the two Land Speeders. The companies may grow as I inventory what I have and/or acquire more stuff. I'll be doing this to my Tau next.

I just dont like the look of the old rouge trader era models... they dont look cool :/

My next army (whatever it's going to be) will be all new plastic. Zero metal mini's in it.

I have 10 jump packs and I believe I have the torsos also, it will make it to where you dont have to pay 33 dollars for 5 or 66 dollars for 10 jump packs! Mattter of fact I believe I have some helmets aswell I think I even have arms all you will need is legs which you can buy for a cheap price online.

You going to make you own name for them or use an existing successor that don't have that much fluff to them to begin with.

I'll make my own successor chapter but build them to BA specs. The commanders will look remarkably like the Blood Angel named guys (mainly because they will be) but that gives me the freedom to use other codexes mini's for my counts as BA army. I already plan to have a Guard Leman Russ tank detachment to be part of the chapter. That tank is my favorite GW model across all armies.

I'm good on marines now. The only things on my list I still need are one drop pod, one land speeder and the scout bikes which the Ravenwing box set should complete. I still have to inventory my Necrons but plan to do a similar thing with them, design and build a complete dynasty above and beyond a simple army list.

I forgot about my Mk. 8 armor guys. Guess I'll make them into another Assault squad and add a second Razorback to the list. Eventually, when Second Company grows too large, I'll split it into two separate companies. I like the idea of having my own chapter. This way, as I get new models, I can just slip them into the company where they belong and keep everything organized.

Here is most of the armor. I am still building the drop pod and storm raven and the tanks aren't included, but there are four of them almost completed now. First row is the Land Raiders with a Vindicator behind them followed by four Rhino's and four Predators.

The only thing left now is one drop pod and scout bikes and my chapter is complete.

I forgot that I have a Razorback bathing in simple green in the garage. Looks like I'll be adding another Assault Squad w/Razorback to the chapter.

wow @ the death company rhino, that thing looks good, any chance on a close up on it?

This is a result of years and years of collecting a space marine here and there and telling myself "I'll start using them soon" and soon never came. Almost all of the troops are Rogue Trader era models.

Its still an impressive collection!

That's where despoiler that I play against all the time got his marines from is me.... He bought my logan wing from me.

Drop pods complete. Now to build them. Next up are the scouts.
