That's right, since a smart man is prepared for every situation he can imagine.

in preparation for this saturday's team tournament i would recommend anyone who is playing in it to play 1250pts one-vs-one games, not team games, since your list needs to be effective without a teammate should you hope to do well.

Since I'm working late today, I can not give u a time. It'll be closer to 7 though.
I will bring a 1250 list, and sadly it will include proxies as I will not invest money into it until after this trial month is over.
I like the idea of 1v1 better, especially due to the amount of time that a 2500 team game will take.
Speaking of, any ideas what time Saturday's tournament will end (after clean-up and prize support)?

Assuming 2.5 hour rounds? As half of a round doesn't make much sense? So about a 9 hour event when u include clean up and results

I personally would like to play some 1850 to prepare for the tournament this Sunday, but not everyone is going to the tournament so people should post up what they want to play so everyone can plan accordingly.

I will not be coming this Tuesday, or the following, as I need to pack for our vacation next week

So what points level does everyone want to play this tuesday? Post what you want to play so we can make sure everyone has an opponent or so we can plan some teams if we need to.

I'm down with either a team game or a practice game for the Highlander 4th tournament.

Any ideas for what to play tomorrow? Anyone up for a low point team game? Say 750-1000 per person?

Alan challenged me a couple weeks ago and he has yet to fulfill that challenge, so me and him will be playing a 1v1, but everyone else post what you want to play so maybe we can actually plan ahead this time.

Re: SMG Warhammer 40k Tuesday meetups @ maCnarB Gaming - May/June 2014
as discussed on Tuesday(8th), this Tuesday(15th) will be the beginning of our narrative campaign. This will be a free to enter campaign, and there will be no prize support, it is being done purely for fun. There will be a small story written preceding every mission, this story will be posted in the fluff bunny section of our forums, while all missions will be posted in this section.
Mission one: Ambush!
Army compositions:
Imperial/good xenos army composition:
1HQ 1Troop choice minimum, may include one additional troop choice if desired. No allies or fortifications allowed. Your HQ choice must not exceed 100 points, and may not be upgraded in any way, in essence he must be a stock HQ. No model, with the exception of models with relentless, may take heavy or salvo weapons.
Chaos/evil xenos army composition:
1HQ minimum, army must not exceed three units including HQ choice. No allies or fortifications allowed. Your HQ choice must not exceed 100 points, and may not be upgraded in any way, in essence he must be a stock HQ. All models in the army, with the exception of the HQ choice, must have either the deep strike or infiltrate special rules, and none of these units may take ranged weapon upgrades, but may take other upgrades so long as they are not a ranged weapon.
Neither good or evil armies may exceed 300 points in total army composition.
Special rules:
Warlord traits are not allowed. Good team always has the first turn, and will always deploy first. evil team may not attempt to steal the initiative. All evil models with deep strike must do so after deployment, but before either player has taken their first turn, models that deploy this way do not scatter. All evil models with infiltrate decrease the distance they must stay away from the enemy by 6", so if they can not be seen they may be 6" away, if they can be seen they must be 12" away. An evil HQ without either of these special rules may attach to units with them, and if he does the unit may still deep strike or infiltrate, but they will follow all the normal rules for doing so, instead of these modified ones.
Deployment:
Draw a line directly down the middle of the table, the Good team must deploy within 6" of this line.
Objective:
This is a fight to the last man, the game will not end until only one team has models left on the table.
