if you can set up a spray booth in well ventilated area in your place then that would prob be the easiest way to get things spray painted with all of this humidity.

Failing that you can do what I do, wait till late at night, spray your stuff when the humidity is prob at its lowest then go to bed. That or wait for a day when humidity is low like on rainy days. One piece of advice though if you plan on going this route, id suggest you use a test item before you do any heavy spraying that way if the humidity messes up the spray job then all you are out is the test piece, as for the piece itself, just cut off a piece off of a empty sqrue and use that.

I've always primed models outside, even in the heat and sometimes I think it even rained during that day. It's never a problem as long as you aren't heavy handed with the spray. And give it extra time to dry in this humidity.

I use the GW chaos black spray can.

I may have to do that. I've got 3 razorbacks and 5 termies that need a basecoat.

another idea, one that i just tried that seemed to work well, grab a empty box, one that is pretty big, set it on a stable surface, set the mini in said box and spray, cheap spray booth. only prob i found was that i had to wear a surgical mask to prevent inhalation of the fumes since there is no proper ventilation, disregard the notion of a mask unless you want to get high Very Happy

this way you can spray inside, avoid the humidity, and avoid any mess spraying inside might cause.

I thought about that, but I wasn't sure how long the smell of primer would linger in the air.

not long, but if you think itll be there too long just open a window for a bit once the minis are primed and dry

I just used a can of Orchard Supply Hardware spray enamel primer outside (between noon and 1 p.m. in August) and it came out great. I did a metal terminator and a plastic Bretonian archer. Both look great. Humidity was not a problem. I also shot an off brand metal ork with red Krylon and it looks like ass. There are no Orchard Hardware stores here, but they are owned by Sears so you may be able to find it there. Here is my landing pad after it's first coat of spray primer.

It inspired me to also prime my Imperial Bastion and I've dug out the Fortress of Redemption and I'll start building it. I'm hoping to have an Imperial base ready to use by September.

I used black krylon primer spray from walmart n it works fine. The humidity hadn't really affected me so far.
