I proxied a slaanesh list against greyknights grey wing.. Despoiler was running all terminators in his list this past thursday...

My list:

His list had 1 ten man squad of pallinators with over half with halberds, 3 with falchions, 2 psycannons, 1 apothicary, 1 banner. 1 ten man squad of regular greyknight termies with 2 psycannons, most with halberds again, 1 banner. 1.. Five man squad of grey knight termies with all falchions and 1 with banner. He had two inquisitors as hq 1 xenos with plasma syphon power armor, 1 hereticus power armor psyocculum and null rod. Vindicare assassin and Eversor assassin.

The match was capture and control/dawn of war setup. He went first. He put two troops out and I put 1 sorc attached to a noise marine squad in a rhino and put another rhino with noise marines in it as well. Before he moved on with two units and infiltrated the vindicare. He set up the 1 five man terminators sitting at home objective while he moved the other forward, moved on with eversor and other uber unit with the two inquisitors and pallies onto the board. His assassin couldn't shoot this turn due to not rolling high enough on nightfighting. I moved on with the two chosen rhinos disembarked, moved my havocs to a raised position in terrain for clear shots, then moved the other two rhinos up 12 to the left of what was happening in the middle of the board for bait. The one with sorc inside in line of site to the vindicare popped smoke. I then moved the rhino with sorc in it around to the side of the chosen rhino and disembarked. Lashed the ten man grey termies closer to my meltas... Ended up killing 2. End of our 1st turn.

Start of the 2nd turn he shot up 1 squad of chosen. Vindicare shot my sorc doing no damage to it, but removing the inv save from him. My turn I tank shocked with both chosen rhinos through his first wave of regular termies herding them up into a group. Moved the rhino that popped smoke on the left down and below where I had my last squad of chosen the other rhino back at that spot continued down around the terrain. Everyone disembarked except for the one noise marine squad. My shooting I shot with the noise marine squad I had from first turn attached to sorc. Then lashed them around the chosen 11 inches to the other regular noise marine squad without sorc. Shot with them, then the other squad attached to the sorc didn't shoot until the last sorc lashed them closer. The chosen finished off that squad with meltas. Then I did 1 wound to the eversor with a squad of havocs, 1 wound to vindicare assassin with other squad of havocs. Still was running my other squad of havocs into position.. End of turn 2

Turn 3 his uber unit was upon me shot at my 1st sorc group and killing 2 noise marines... Shooting one rhino with the vindicare blowing it up and killing his eversor assassin in the process from the explosion. My turn I hopped into my rhinos moving up and tank shocking with one empty one to bunch them up for the doom sirens. The other 4 rolled around surrounding them. Keeping my sorc inside the rhinos while the 4 squads of noise marines jumped out and shot everything I had. Causing 1 wound from feel no pain..... I killed his vindicare assassin with 1 squad of havocs shooting. end of turn 3.

His turn 4 he detached his two inquisitors from the pallies and moved the other squad of 5 man termies up in assault distance with 1 squad of noise marines. He charged the pallies against 3 squads. The 1... 5 man against the last noise marine squad... They didn't survive. My turn I lashed the pallies away twice and pretty much stayed away from him the rest of the game... It ended on turn 7 for us with him winning me still having 3 squads of havocs harrassing his pallies/inquisitor uber unit for the rest of the game as well..

Never went against grey knight like that before... Chaos really feels its age in my opinion even though I still liked the list I made and still had fun.. I think that if it was anything else would have died to that manuver I pulled off. I put 4 str 5 ap 3 flamer template shots and 36 bolter equivalent shots into them..

I didn't notice this until after I wrote it that I had ther noise marines in the sacred number of slaanesh. Laughing

Paladins are a tough wall to crack. GK termies are tough too, but quite as much. It really comes down to having weight of fire with AP2 weapons and power weapons. If you have str 8 weapons, point them at the paladins, everything else goes to the termies.

I once watched some Grey Knight terminators get cut down by grots. It was a beautiful thing.

I must say I enjoyed that game.. Biggest thing that impressed me was the survivability of the knights, I'll definitely run them again in the future

well next time we play I'll swap out autocannons for missiles on my havocs. they're the same points.
