Painting has begun on my Tomb Kings. Looking like I'll have them painted long before any 40K armies are even started.

It's like taking your crash helmet off and running head first into a brick wall. It took several games but I feel I can deal with them now. Ogres are the Grey Knights of fantasy.

By comparing them to Grey Knights, I mean they are a very tough army. I haven't played beast men in a long time. I remember them and chaos dwarves being strong armies.

I knew what you meant. I meant that I don't really like the models for orgres is the main reason I won't do them.. I have to like the models to go for them.

I'm signed up on herdstone forum and been browsing through them. Beastmen are a horde army with some really really good close combat monsters for specials and rare units. The cygor is pretty awesome with magic resistance 2 and rerolls against magic users, undead, models with a ward save or heroes/lords/units with a magic item. Also cygor has the ability to if a enemy wizard is within 24 has to take a leadership test and if failed all spells he does are miscast this turn. Very Happy

With one exception, my Tomb Kings are painted. I still need to finish building my war sphinx before I prime and paint it. Beyond that all the troops in my list are painted to a tabletop standard. I will add in a few details here and there mostly to put a bit of color in the ranks. The royal court is represented by the Tomb Kings deep blue accents and the Tomb Queen and her archers with their red bows. Before I can call the army complete, I need to put my chariots on bases and I still need three troop types I have not found cheap enough on eBay yet. I'll get some photos up in the next few days. Oh yeah, I need a display board too.

So much for photo's. AT&T has decided it's better for me if I don't have internet at home. That's very thoughtful of them. As a bonus, I still get to pay them for the service they are not providing me.
