Fear the Alien Novel

Just wanted to add that I'm liking the Fear the Alien anthology, if you haven't read it, its a good read. So far there's a pair of stories about Imperial Guard and one about a squad of space marine terminators. Still waiting on my d'eldar to appear though. I picked up a few 40k novels over the holidays, I'll try and review them a bit here.

I've tried to read some of the 40K books and I just can't do it. They're all terrible.

They are just splatter fiction, good for a quick read, at least so far.

I really liked the space wolves omnibus and the blood angels dues encarmine But I suppose you have to be in the mood for them.

The blood angels omnibus is good with the other two books red fury and black tide is pretty good with the flesh tearers being in both of those. Both of the space wolf omnibuses are really good... The 2nd omnibus especially with Hyger of the wolfblade with the bucket on his foot lol. The Grey Knights omnibus is a pretty good read... Their is just something that radiates awesomeness about a dude staring a huge daemon down and saying I'll still beat you..

The 2nd book of the tomb of fire trilogy "Firedrake" has dark eldar in it. So does the 2nd book of the word bearers series. Also the 1st book in the Ultramarines omnibus has Dark Eldar in it as well... You shouldn't have to wait too much longer the "Path of the traitor" book should be out it's specifically a story about a dark eldar guy.

My most favorite series thus far is the Night lords series... Soul Hunter, Blood Reaver, and soon to be out Void Stalker which I've been drooling over to read cause I must read it... Followed by the Word Bearers closely... The main reason why I've been following the rumors for chaos legions like a fanatic.

Most of the books don't really sell you that narative hook until about a chapter or two into the book. Sons of Dorn, Eisenhorn, Soul Drinkers omnibus, the last part of the Ultramarines omnibus, the Salamanders books, Helsreach, Hunt for Voldorious, Fall of Damnos and most of the horus heresy series I had to force myself to read or some haven't read at all cause I don't want to.
