I'm going back to my Death Guard. I firmly believe that chaos is still a viable army. Not top tier but mid range. So I've stripped all my models and working on painting them up better. Here is my list I want to start with and see what happens.

Librarian with wind of chaos

3x 7 plague marines, fist, 2 melta guns in a rhino with havoc launcher

7 plague marines with fist, 2 flamers in a rhino with havoc launcher

7 plague marines, fiat, 2 plasma guns in a rhino with havoc launcher.

2x daemon possessed vindicators

3 obliterators

Not highly competative, but I've been inspired by Dale and his vanilla marines. Play what you like, focus on tactics, and destroy your oppent while having a great time.

I see you are doing the mini whirlwind I think they used to call it or still call it online. Plague marines are still good objective grabbers from the CSM dex. The daemons as meatshields/suprise ambush cool. I've actually played against you earlier last year with similar setup with minor changes. I thought you where wanting to sell them?

I was going to. True story, packed them for sale and got sick the next day. Nurgle has me by the soul, lol. I guess in the end I'm still a marine player at heart and love how the death guard were one of the truely evil armies. Not crazy, insane , daddy doesn't love me. Just plain good transformed to evil without knowing it. (well mortarion, typhon knew exactly what he was doing lol)

Well my chaos marines I want to eventually start will be Nightlords. Hope they represent them good in the new codex.... Like you stuart the darkness has my soul. My marines don't pay homage to any god though. We are theives, murderers, and enjoy putting fear into the enemy.

Your right on the first part on daemon possession. The second sentance your thinking the 3rd edition codex which gave a power of machine spirit feel to the rule.

Spawn never get any love in Chaos lists.

They ain't fun to use in a list but to turn an enemy model into one is much fun
