Battlefoam just doesn't work
I've got tons of Battlefoam and the troop trays just suck ass! They are either way too small or way too large for GW mini's. Ditto the GW case foam. Has anyone tried the KR Multicase foam? It would be real nice to find a company that makes foam for mini's that actually plays the game and knows how to make a foam tray that actually fits the miniatures.

Re: Battlefoam just doesn't work
Well I have had a totally different experience with Battle Foam. I think it's great. My minis fit well and don't break. Occasionally something will catch and snap off but it's no big deal, it's usually my fault for packing it the way I did. As for the fit, what troop trays are you trying to use for which troops? I find for the average Space Marine the inch tray will do well however, if you are putting in Jump Packs or models with custom poses you need a deeper foam. That actually happened to Bruce. Some of his older models kept breaking because he was trying to put them into the wrong size tray. Also you should use the tray topper for infantry minis that prevents them from getting caught on the tray above. Maybe you don't have the right trays for the right models?...
I have flown on Airlines and check my IG army and did not have any broken models flying from here to DC and back. I did get special cut trays for my Firewarriors and Guard troops to account for the larger rifles

The vehicle trays are great. They fit perfectly and I have never had a problem with them. It's just the troop trays. If all my models had their arms tucked into their bodies, they would be perfect (and all my old Rogue Trader models fit okay) but modern miniatures don't fit at all. They trays are too narrow to fit orks, not tall enough for chaos marines (unless you just give up and snap off all the little spiky bits they've got) and there is no real solution other than custom cut ($$$) trays for anything on a 40mm base. It's time to see what the competition has to offer. I'll start with KR Multicase and Sabol.

KR Multicase troop trays are on the way. Now I'll know how they compare to the too small for GW troop trays that battle foam makes.

The KR Multicase troop trays are far superior to the Battlefoam ones, but I'll still order some Battlefoam custom trays eventually for my Necrons.

That's the plan. Going through all my stuff is a daunting task, there's so much of it.

Yeah, I use KR for my spikey Dark Eldar and they have all sorts of cool poses. I have no complaints. The KR is pretty soft though and I don't use it for my vehicles.
