2k ba, ideas suggestions for improvement???

After getting pissed off at my lord doing nothing but dying in the last several games, ive decided to shelve my wolf lists for a while and go back to ba instead. Here is what I made up, what do you guys think, any comments or suggestions that you guys think might improve the performance of this list?

2000 Pts - Blood Angels Roster

1 Razorback, 21 pts = (base cost 20 + Searchlight 1) has twin-linked hvy flamer

Hey! how does Mephi get across the board without any bubble wrap. Is he going to hide behind the razorbacks or make a sucide run? I like the list its very shooty and I like shooty list!!! It seems that Mephi is just sitting out there. Let me know!

With that many tanks, perhaps drop off one assault squad and take a techmarine with a jump pack to run around fixing any damaged tanks?

the main idea is to hide meph behind razors, since he's a infantry sized model he can do that easily, now if I have to cross the board with meph he'll hide behind razors or preds, the 2 razors he'll most likely be hiding behind will be the hvy flamer razors. all depends on situation, what army am i playing, what is terrain on board like, etc. hell if i feel like its needed, i could either have a assault squad hide behind los blocking terrain or just reserve the assault squad and have meph ride in their transport. also if he needs to make a suicide run well he'll do it and hopefully he'll kill whatever i want him to kill before he dies

all in all meph's presence in this list is to give me another hood to try and stop powers and act as a counter assault, either jumping onto a squad of guys by himself or supporting the assault squads in combat since they don't have any weapons that will benefit them there. besides some people are still going to be afraid of him so he can help me mess with people's heads too. Very Happy

against a full out shooting army like say ig, meph isnt going to be doing much since once he pops his head out hes probably going to die but before he dies hopefully he'll kill a unit or two

honestly i don't really like techmarines, imo its kinda counter productive spend points on something that might be able to fix my stuff, my policy has always been to reduce the other guy's ability to hurt me by either shooting the piss out of him or killing it in cc

the only time i've used techmarines was when i used bas and they were given a jump pack and combi melta and told to deepstrike (using their descent of angels ability) near a tank and melta the crap out of it, if they did then great and their sacrifice was worth it, if not well then they were cursed out by the other guys as the opposing army killed the suicidal one, either way, whether or not they did their job, in all of the games ive used them they never lasted a full turn but thats because my role for them was suicide bomber... er... shooter

Perhaps some scouts? They can infiltrate and plant booby traps and scouts on bikes have always been a thorn in my side when I play orks.

i don't see the scouts on bikes being able to do too much with this style of list but honestly i don't have a squad of them and have never tried them out nor do i have the cash to go out and buy any atm....... now if carl could have a spot of amnesia "wink" "wink" Wink then I could get easily get my hands on a squad of scout bikes but i don't see that happening anytime soon Very Happy

Here's how scout bikes have been used against me in the past. Squad consists of 3 bikes, 2 scouts and 1 sergeant + 3 Astartes Grenade Launcher (100 points total). They start infiltrated close to enemy lines. Then they go to town launching frag grenades and falling back to keep out of range of advancing units. It's situational for swarm armies, and works well against 'Nids and Orks. Being on bikes they can get the hell out of there fast if they need to.

seems pretty weak from the way its been described, any decent amount of shooting would wipe them out, not to mention that they wouldnt do well at all against a power armored foe and that is what a good majority will be in a tourney.

Well, my only suggestion then is to buy to most tanks, give them the biggest guns and hide from the enemy.

I think the game is balanced and units that people frown on aren't automatically bad. One surefire way to win a game against tons and tons of super-elite mega-characters, kill all the troopers. You simply cannot control or contest an objective without troopers.

you are right, but remember one thing, if you table a opponent then even if all of your troops are dead in a obj game, you win
