Leaving 40k for a while Empty Leaving 40k for a while

So after the last year of swapping armies and trying to find what works I have realized that as much as I enjoy 40k I'm finding warmahordes so much more enjoyable. So after this campaign I am going to be putting my BA away at least till 6th edition drops. Hope to see you guys playing WMH soon !

lol I'm waiting until next january to getting back into 40k. If at all.
I'll still play a game of 40k here and there with friends around my place, but not as often as last year. So it'll probably wind up being 1 time a week or every other week. Good thing is I've stopped obsessing over 40k.

So it seems I started a trend because I was wanting to leave 40k first. Actually swore off 40k earlier this year. Very Happy

I took time off from 40K and it was a good thing for me. Now I'm back getting my hobby in order (and under control) and I'm enjoying it a lot more. Listening to the IC Podcast helps too. Those guys really project enthusiasm for the game.

Warmachine just doesn't do it for me. I'm not a fan of the look of the miniatures and the backstory isn't as compelling as the Horus Heresy, but that's just my opinion.

Well I'm looking into this as me trying to figure out my playstyle, what characteristics I like in armies and so far they are not squishy. Something that I wrote a tactica about cause I was confused about and still confused on what 40k army to play. Hopefully I can apply what is similar in tactics with the different races in 40k to help me figure out what I like.

Plus I know this sounds like a rant and I apologise. This is me being my own worst cretic. I have always tried to entertain my friends, thought of others opinions in this game on what I should do, and all without taken in what I want from this game. I shouldn't be listening to other opinions on what to do in 40k. I should be finding out on my own what I like, hate, and all. So I'm trying to get my head on straight and figure myself out before proceeding furthur into 40k. I'm still trying to figure out what is my favorite things to do in life as well cause I never really stopped to really think about it. It's always been work, home to sleep, get up and repeat. I've been into 40k for close to 4 years. What do I have to show for it..... A halfassed necron army and that's it cause I couldn't make up my mind on anything and kept jumping from army to army while selling the others I had started on before. So it was like I am in a rut I can't get out of. That's what aggravates me the most is knowing how much money I spent and seeing where I got to.

Also for all you 40k players out there though. Beware cause when I do come back it will be with purpose, fluff, and tactics backing it up. So until then I'll be diving into 40k fluff like I always do.

My problem I think is that necrons can't keep my interest forever and plus last year I was really going at 40k 3-7 times a week sometimes so yeah kinda burnt out or lost my momentum on it. Plus I only have enough large amounts of cash to blow on 40k once a year around income tax time so I'm sitting this year out on buying until next january-february area if the world don't end lmao.

Too much of a good thing is bad. Too much excess can lead to boredom. All of these are true, unless you're a slannesh cultist Smile

My wife says I should be a slaanesh cultist lmao. Cause I'm a perfectionist. If I go with an army I want it to look the part. Symbols, iconophy, the works. Enough isn't enough for me. That's my style though I guess. I don't hold back I go all out and bring it.

This really is the first time I was burnt out on 40k. Before that I was driving my wife nuts with talking about background information on 40k. "KNOWLEDGE IS POWER".
