6th edition talk
I know it's kinda early to have a solid opinion on 6th 40k, but I was wondering what everyone thought of the stuff people are talking about 6th. Saying it's going to be.... Just wanting to start a good discussion is all. I know that some people are going to be like, "I want to wait until the book comes out" But I'd just like to talk about it.
More cinematic..
Can buy terrain and reinforce it (IG doing sandbags, etc)
Can set terrain on fire with flame weapons
wound allocation will be to the closest model in a squad
HQ attachment can challenge other HQ... which ever one wins will win the assault for the group.
Flyers everywhere and going to have more rules for them.
Hull points on vehicles (3 on normal vehicles, 4 on land raiders/monoliths) each non wrecked/blow up result takes a hull point away. No hull points equal a wrecked vehicle.
No more random game length
Deep striking outside 12-18 of the enemy (can't remember which and too lazy to look up) doesn't scatter.
Deep striking only scatters within 12 of the enemy.
Rapidfire weapons will get 2 shots at full distance without moving or 1 shot while moving and 2 at half.
Going to have a new mission generator
As long as squad leader survives the squad can rally.
Snap fire- If being assaulting an enemy. The enemy can shoot in response at bs 5.
Random charge length

6th edition rules might be cool but with current prices going up, it will be quite a while before ill be able to make my army current

I am looking forward to flyers and psychic ability changes. I am also loking forward to see which armys get a boast due to new rules.

im looking forword to the stand and shoot before assualts gives the less initiative army a chance to survive

Im looking forward to tactics being played on the table not in the list ... or at least a balace of both..

Its always going to be a balance between the two, no matter what game you play what you bring (list in our case) is going to play a role in determining who wins. Its like a nfl team depth chart who starts plays a big role in deciding who wins but sometime the other team has better coaching or personal if you get what I am saying.
