Gentlemen,
I had a great time again. It is always good to get some games in with avid players who are trying to apply strategy and thought when constructing their armies and then translate that to the gmae board. Not to say that "for fun" lists don't have there place, I love my Assassins Creed list; Kayazy and Croes, Yuri and Manhunters, but wow do AOE's and chain lightning ruin my day, as does heavy armor, but it looks cool at set up Smile

Bottom line up front; you guys are fun to play with and heading in the right direction.

For you tournament hopefuls- best (unsolicited) advice is continue to play test your lists, and learn all the nuances of the models you prefer to use. There is no easy win button, even though you will hear that on the forums. There are bad match ups, but knowing YOUR models, looking at your opponents cards and having a good grasp on the rules will help you mitigate those less than favorable situations.

I will keep you all posted on the upcoming tournaments I know of, such as the Colossals book release tournament in late July in New Orleans. If I can get Sonny interested in supporting us, we can run our own. If not I will look into doing something in the house with a tournament setting if there is interest.

Regardless, I am excited to have a local scene! Get those 50 pts together... I need to stampede some stuff when Legendary Vlad gets released. That's 14 Cav models plus Drago and a Berserker... Cav are some of my favorite unit types so beware!!!

Cheers,
Gene

Even a stormwall couldn't piece the new Vlads shoulder pads Smile Thanks for giving us the time to play and dedicating time to teach. Hopefully by November we'll be decent competitors and not take the last two spots. Me ahead of Chris of course....as soon as I find out how to mitigate tough lol.

I had fun as well. Grim Angus is starting to be my favorite 'lock. I almost got Gene for the 2nd time lol. It came down to how I goofed up using my models, which of course is how I lose the game lol.

So the final list I have decided to run is
Terminus
Deathjack
Max blood gorgers
General skarlak
2x max revenant crew
Rengrave
Blackbane max
Darrgura

After doing some research I realized the errors of my previous list
Run the revenant crew up front to slow up anything getting to terminus bringing the death jack and blood gorgers to tear up the leftovers allowing terminus to go for the assassination run and keeping blackbane's crew as damage soakers due to being incorporeal they cannot be hurt by most things making them the perfect escort for terminus

For list #2

Pdenny
2 D rippers
Nightmare
Skarlock thrall

Bane lord Tartarus
10 bane knights
10 bane thralls w/ UA
6 staxxis raiders w/ captain
War witch siren
Necrotech w/ scrap thrall

Use raiders as fast attack to deal with those pesky cygnar Mage killer guys
Use skarlock as a ghost walk battery
Either waste people with bane's or assassination w/ nightmare
And run necrotech and WWS w/ nightmare to keep him in the fight as long as possible
What do you guys think? Any advice?

The way you roll for tough Mad , the Terminus list looks like a pain, especially since Gerlack keeps the Bloodgorgers on their feet if they pass tough. I look forward to play testing it with you. I think heavy armor might give it some issues, it will depend on the game scenario though... Good Luck!

The two lists are designed very differently for that reason , Denny for jacks/beast heavy lists , termy for infantry

I do believe I've found my two lists as well. If nothing else they look good theme wise on the table. Now I just need to start painting lol

Great! I'm a fan of thematic... Prep yourselves for Legendary Vlad, I used to run 2 max units of Uhlans with Epic Vlad, but now here's what you'll be seeing:

LVlad
-Drago
2x Max Uhlans
2x Drakuhns
Markov
Fenris
Gun Carriage
16 Cav models! It's going to be awesome! Smile

What are your lists?

Ah yes... I've played a tier 4 version (before bombadiers) The bonuses are nice and I, like you, love MOW. Good Luck!

I'm ready to bring it thursday when we play again. Have to break in my New warjack for Khador. Big B was kinda tough to put together, but it's done.

But can I get ya'll opinion on something I want to experiment with in the future....

Regular Big B
List trials Behemoth1

Extremoth
List trials Juggernautextreme

The Extremoth is a conversion from an extreme Juggernaut model. I seen the tutorial online and may experiment one day with this. So what you think..... Go Regular Big B and stay or Go Extremoth?

I would do the Extremoth, but only if I was to get a Conquest as well, quite an investment, but the size gradients would be cool to see and it emphasizes Big B's place as the premier Character 'jack (IMHO).
