Swamp Bases

Post  EmeraldWolf on Sun Jul 24, 2011 7:20 pm

I have decided that I want to model all my spaces wolves trudging through the swamp. My initial idea was to use modeling putty to do the swamp water ripples but isn't there a clear stuff that dries hard? Any one have any ideas?

Not sure how to do it but to model that up would take a bit of work, maybe try that gel stuff that once dry looks like water. I'm pretty sure if you look hard enough you might be able to find a tutorial online on how to do something similar.

If anything, you could look online for some of those scenic bases, they have all types of bases, some for city fight, some for woods, or rock outcroppings. Maybe you could find something that will fit your needs.

If you don't know what I'm talking bout here is a link to a example of the scenic bases.

Elmers dries clear. Can you paint the base green and goop Elmers over it?

Paint the base brown. You can also put a few drops of paint in the glue. Bases are plentiful and a bottle of Elmers Glue is $0.40 at Wal Mart. It would be a cheap easy thing to test. You could also put a tiny bit of green flock over the glue to represent pond scum.
