Been looking at the mini's and I just can't get into this game based on them alone. They are very bulky with so much detail, it gets lost in the details. I'm all for someone giving Games Workshop some serious competition, but I'll hold out until something more to my liking comes along.

Well hordes/warmachine is meant to play against each other. I like it because there is no all powerful army in this game. It's pretty much equally balanced against eachother. Plus I like the magic driven golems of the retribution of scyrah, dragonspawn of everblight, and kinda like the necromancy feel to cryx in a way.

I see a pattern there.....lol kinda see a pattern myself with legion of everblight is like dark eldar when it comes to there infantry.
But I also like retribution of scyrah which are the elves that escaped everblights grasp and believe that in order for their god scyrah to stay alive they must kill human warcasters that they believe impure. Humans shouldn't be able to use magic in their eyes. They remind me of eldar. In the mail I got Garryth blade of retribution, Kaelyssa night's whisper, and adeptis rahn for the warcasters I like. The warjacks I've ordered coming with them is a nimble light jack for an arc node called a chimera, a fast solo assassin jack with reach called griffon, and the heavy warjack kit which can be any of the 3 heavies for them.... More than likely going to make that the phoenix... A heavy warjack with an arc node, reach, openfist, continous effect from melee fire, and can regen d6 shield points a turn. I believe that'll be worth every bit of that 10 points

But if you want to look at the model range grots you'd have to check out battlecollege. They have all 9 races of the iron kingdoms on there. Plus they have the model range of minions for hordes and mercenaries for warmachine. gives you kinda an idea of how things play like.
