May Club Meeting

Ok, I know I've been busy but it's time for the next club meeting. We will meet at Jaks on 20 May 12 at 11:00. It should be just prior to the monthly tournament. We have lots of things to discuss about the next club tourney and our new club chapters. We also need to set up a terrain building day among other things. Even if you are not going to play in the tourney please show for the meeting! If you have any topics you would like to discuss please list them here so we can get them on the agenda. You guys rock!

Hey guys we will do the club meeting during the lunch break for the tourney. So everyone plan on grabbing something and returning to Jaks ASAP so we can get it done. We have a lot of things to discuss in a short period of time! I have some cool news and updates too! See you there!

PS. For those of you who are not attending the tourney I believe the lunch break will take place at about 1:00 pm (13:00).

I might not be able to show up for this one. I thought I was getting paid on the 18th... It's on the 22nd of this month so gas is kinda scarce for me. I'll see what I can do about being there though.

I don't really want to play in the 40k tournament though. Been concentrating on Warmachine lately. So 40k been taking a back seat until I can sort some stuff out with it. Like what direction I want to go next.

Vacation starts after work today. I'll be out of town for two weeks. Post what happens here.

im checking now to see if i can make it today. I dont have the cash to play in the tourney, but if there is the table space and people are willing, i'd be happy to play some pick up games...

How'd the day go? Both tournament and club meeting. I'll be out of town for a couple weeks, wonder if I can find a game shop in Sofia?

I must agree, I belive Glen makes extra money on the side oil wrestling. Remeber Will Ferral from The Ladies Man. Yep...thats him. Haha

Ok here is the update you've all been waiting on. We had the club meeting with about 15 members present. The following items were discussed:

1. Allowing clubs from out of state access to our forum to facilate better communication and teamwork. A vote was taken and we decided to invite the Mobile and Florida guys to have a spot on our forum much like the Pascagoula and Hattiesburg guys. The rest of the forum will stay the same and they can post their events in the common areas.

2. S.M.G. was invited to become a 40K Nation Chapter. After a short discussion we voted and decided to join. Hinkle was voted in as the Chapter Master who will coordinate with Sam from 40K Nation. Hopefully we will see benefits from this relationship in the near future.

3. We discussed current events in the club such as the ongoing campaign. After talk of killing the campaign due to lack of participation/scheduling conflicts it was decided to conclude the campaign and post the required info here on the forum. So be looking for that soon.

4. John E. brought up the fact the he would like to see more organized Warhammer Fantasy. There were four others there who said they would play also so all of you square basers get on the forum and set up some games!!!

5. After WarGamesCon we will set up a day at my house to build and paint terrain. We have a lot of foam and materials that need to be turned into workable terrain for our club tournaments outside of Jaks. Watch the forum for more details.

6. There was discussion of the club logo again; keep working on it guys!

So that should be it for another month. Once the Campaign is concluded we will schedule the next club tournament. A large contingent of the club is headed to WarGamesCon next month so expect to see some battle reports and coverage from there on our S.M.G./40K Nation You Tube Channel!

If you would like to see the club take on an event take the bull by the horns and head it up! Get with me and we will schedule it!

Also we received a generous donation from Battlemarkers and were able to give out three sets during the tournament. Check out thier website and if you decide to purchase items from them please mention you heard about them through the club and the 19th Legion!

You forgot about us Warmachine/Hordes players. I asked if anyone wanted to play also told you all about the supposed tournament next month. Chris also started the SMG community on the Privateerpress forums trying to pull more people into it.
