New flyers out for June 2nd

This is a link to the sketches that beasts of war posted about the new flyers coming out in june 2nd. The necrons get theirs, the space marines get a storm talon fighter, orks get the dakkajet, buna bomma, and biltza-bomma.

It's odd I don't see the voidraven for DE.

I'm into reading natfkas blog there so when he gets rumors we'll get rumors. I haven't been dissappointed ever since finding his blog. Everyday he has new stuff on his site. Plus it isn't as crowded as some other sites.

But like I said in the Warmachine/Hordes part of the forum. I'll keep my ears to the ground for stuff.

I would think that flyers may eventually come out, but shouldn't 6th edition come out first so there are rules for them?

Wave 1 in june is as bow has revealed. But i am expecting the de bomber before end of summer along with a tau and chaos sm flyer. The csm flyer is likely w the codex so the other two may have "something" with them.

The tau flyer as ive heard from 3 sources is named after a snake, not a fish. Has a networked marker light like item/weapon that can stack. 4 missiles. Options for rail guns or some gattling cannons. No transport.

Orks still have another flyer that is ready for release. And its in the codex.

Eldar get nothing until their codex. As others have stated.

Tyranids harpy has been done fore some time, but its looking like itll be held onto for a while longer. Rumor is another nid wave release with the spore later...

Harpy was designed as a dual kit, but i havent seen the final version. It was supposed to make a ground based unit as well.

It doesnt make sense because of that to be a "flyers" kit release. Plus they have additional finecast characters done and the new redesign of one unit i still cant reveal.

Deffkoptas are 3 to a box with all options. They are bigger than the box set versions. But not by much.

So what do ya'll think.. Beasts of war confirmed it for the 2nd of june release for flyers.

I can't see how flyers will make the game any better. Going against an army with no flyers in their list will be an insta-win. This is great for modelers and GW's bottom line but that's about it.

I think the flyers will change the dynamic of the game and i dont see it being unbalanced

I hope they learned from Epic. If one army has fliers and the other doesn't, the game is over.

Not really, I think it makes for more fun.

the SM one kinda looks like a Nurgle Plague Drone

yeah the doomscythe/nightscythe models had to come out after I take a break from 40k.... why not before lol.

You have about a year to buy these before they're $100 kits. Also, can GW make an Imperial flyer that isn't hideously ugly?

They all look fantastic to me. Notice the stormtalon appears "small" compared to stormraven and vendetta. May get cover saves easier even though they have the height of their oval base and stand.

I still believe "flyers" will get extra benefits in 6th edition. Cannot wait till they all get a 5+ and are harder to hit in HTH. Just my speculation.

The ork fightas and bomma are my favorites. Those models make me want to play orks!!
