The River Runs Red

The Battle Field – Use the deployment map that Hinkel will have with his book for this mission.  
The Imperial players place up to 4 fortifications anywhere on their table half, that will be provided by Hinkel
He does not pay points for these fortifications.
All buildings start the game claimed by the Imperial Player
He then sets up terrain in the manner he chooses in the manner he chooses but access to the bridge must not be blocked.


Deployment – The players must first determine their warlord traits and stratagems (pg. 108-109)
Each team has 2 Stratagem Points.
Then the Chaos team splits his force into 2 groups, with as close to half the total number of points as possible.  The Chaos players deploy all their units in the group containing their warlords using the deployment map opposite.
All units in the Chaos players other group are placed in Reserve (see mission reserves rule).

The Imperial Players then deploys his force using the deployment map oppiste.

First turn – Chaos Player first turn

Game length – 5 rounds

Victory Conditions
At the end of the game, the player who has scored the most victory points is the winner
If both players have the same number of victory points, the game is a draw.

Primary Objective -
At the end of the game, each player scores 1 victory point for each of their scoring units that is in the Imperial players table half.

Secondary Objective -
Slay the Warlord 1point for each. SMG Blooded

Mission Special Rules -
Firestorm(page 107)
Night Fighting & Shock Tactics (page 107)

*The Chaos team rolls a D3 and adds the number of buildings that are on the table to the result.  Multiple part buildings count as several separate buildings, The total is the number of Firestorm Attacks that the Chaos player makes.

Boiling river: The river is dangerous terrain, models that enter, leave or move within the river fail their dangerous terrain test on the result of a 1,2,or 3.  Any vehicle immobilized within the river is automatically wrecked.



Mission Reserves – All of the units on the Choas players second group start the game in reserve.

With the exception of the units that must start the game in reserve, the Imperal player cannot voluntary place any of his units in reserve.

Where'd They come from?  The Ork's players Weird Boys have the Gate of Infinity psychic power, in addition to their normal psychic powers, do not include this power when determining if they have psychic focus.

I will be there this tuesday, and as a result the campaign will continue. From here on out we will be using missions out of the GW campaign book provided by hinkel, as I am lazy and no longer feel like making up the missions. However, the only thing that will differ from the campaign book will be the inclusion of the 'heroes' that were part of the original missions, these characters no longer have to be included in the army, as the conflict has grown to the point that they have subordinates commanding various strike forces.

I was playin ultrasmurfs for pat's campaign. I'd like to try out my thousand sons or tau, and small points would be perfect to learn 'em. Just feeling the itch to play something different is all..

Kayne was allowed to turn to chaos, so you may change armies, but be warned that you can not change factions after you switch, so if you switch to tau and find out you hate playing them, then tough luck as you will be stuck with them the rest of the campaign. This is the same for everyone, you are allowed to switch armies once, and only once.
