Re: What Are You Reading?
Here is the Series i have been reading
I have loved it so far and really shows you what the Imperial Guard can do and how much the normal Guardsmen really know about other Xenos
Cain is the main character of Sandy Mitchell's novels published by the Black Library. The Cain series currently stands at nine titles:
For The Emperor[1] - Complete
Caves of Ice[2] - Complete
The Traitor's Hand[3] - Reading
Death Or Glory[4]
Duty Calls[5]
Cain's Last Stand[6]
The Emperor's Finest
The Last Ditch
The Greater Good[7]
The novels are presented as Cain's personal and often rambling notes. After his death, a third party edited them into a more coherent form, interspersed them with footnotes or snippets of other accounts where Cain's first-person (and self-centered) perspective does not provide sufficient context, and made them available for use by the Holy Inquisition. This editor is revealed over the course of the first account to be Inquisitor Amberley Vail of the Ordo Xenos, Cain's long-time collaborator and herself a prominent figure in the accounts.
Cain also appears in three short stories (featured respectively in the anthologies What Price Victory,[8] Crucible of War,[9] and Bringers of Death[10]):
"The Beguiling"
"Fight or Flight"
"Echoes of the Tomb"
In April 2007 the first three books in the series and the 3 short stories were collected in a volume entitled Ciaphas Cain : Hero of the Imperium.[11]
In October 2010 Defender of the Imperium, an omnibus compilation of Death or Glory, Duty Calls and Cain's Last Stand was released, and also contains the short stories "Traitor’s Gambit" and "Sector Thirteen".[12]
Cain's Personal Assistant Gunner Jurgen appears in his own short story The Smallest Detail released January 2013.

Ok I have been waiting for this book to come out for a while so here we go, I will start this , this weekend
This will be the next 40k Novel to knock out. It is the story of Captain Lysander of the Imperial Fist when he is captured by the Iron Warriors. This should be a good read. I will do a book review once complete for all you 40k people out there. For the Emperor!!!

Re: What Are You Reading?
The hyperion cantos by dan simmons. Great read, very well written and encompasses 4 novels. If my iphone is right they are 800+ pages each so if you ever intend to start the series this is a heads up: you'll be there for a while.

Re: What Are You Reading?
Just finished reading The Butcher of Khardov (The Warcaster Chronicles)
This was a great book, it jumps all over the place about his history, but it stays active and on the edge of your seat. I now have a better understanding on how he became the way he is. Now even more Epic haha
