Drop Pods and Storm Talons should make a decent combo.

I like the model! I want 2!

I predict that armies with flyers will steamroll armies without them.

That's why I was buying all the flyers I could get. I knew they where going to be the next big thing. It's the reason I run 3 doomscythes and soon to be 2-3 nightscythes along with it. Everyone was calling me crazy for running the Doomscythes, but with Imotekh they actually are a bit more survivable.

I ordered my 2 Night Scythes today!

I don't see the flyers being over powered. I just hate how BT, DA, & SW dont get any flyers

Not trying to offend you man but this is my take on it......

BT is a ways off and are sure to get something special just for them. DA is on the back door wanting in on 6th from the rumors. Whos to say they won't put that storm talon in the DA dex? I could see the Deathwing teleporting in with a Storm talon being attached to them. That would actually be scary to be on the recieving end of.

Also space wolves I can say one sentance... nay a quote from the codex, "We fight the way Russ intended us to fight." That means on the ground. Thats why they have the cheapest and by some opinions the best troops in the game. Plus look at it this way. The wolves have the thunderwolf calvalry with fenrisian wolf packs. They have longfangs, they have freakin 15 man blood claws that would annihilate anything standing in their way if channeled right. The only thing wolves have in common with other codexes is the ground vehicles and base stats for their infantry. Also fighting the way Russ wanted us to fight is why the Terminator armor for wolves don't do deepstrikes without the Pods.

I have to apologise my inner wolf comes out from time to time. lol.... Didn't mean to go all fluffy.

Also another note I think the new Astartes flyer would look good in either the Imperial Fists, Crimson Fists, Ravenguard, White Scars, Iron Hands, or Salamanders colors. I think the whole Ultramarine colors which I do like cause blue is my favorite color is a turn off to most people cause their use to Ultrmarines being the Poster boyz of GW.

It's funny. Most people that play 40k are actually quite intrigued when I pop out the Ultramarines. People who dont play are the ones who usually say something like "Ya but who plays Ultramarines lulz?!"

I need at least 3 of those StormTalons but am waiting to see what 6th edition brings. I am stockpiliing all hobby fundage until then.

I will order the ork and Necron flyers from dicebucket. The storm talon is just too ugly.

Hey Cunnin i know this a delayed response but russ never trusted teleporting but drop pods, thunderhawks, and now storm eagles? Come on now. Its obvious wolves know how to fly lol we had this convo on the space wolf blog facebook page. Had to correct ya

I think what he might be getting at is that it would be a bit too much in an already impressive arsenal for the wolves. It would go perfect with the Dark Angels, but wolves already have so many niffty bits and bobs.

I don't do facebook so I don't know about the conversation man sorry. I guess when it comes to space wolves each wolf lord plays different anyways. *Shrugs* I'm just a traditionalist in saying as an experienced space wolves player that, "We space wolves don't need no stinkin air ship like the storm talon or storm raven.... ."

I think everyone should have the flying chickens foot! ...sounds like some sort of infliction lol. but on a serious note a storm talon with some infiltrators would be bad ass! And who wouldnt like a flying predator? it might be ugly as sin but effective I bet ...maybe not so price efficient pts wise though

I see them replacing land speeders for it. They're good but storm talon is better. Especially with the 60" s7 skyhammer doohickie.. id definitely run them
